Charlotte Touchdown Club

Law Offices of Porter & Schwartz announce another year of sponsorship at the Pro Bowl level. The Charlotte Touchdown Club is a 501(C)3 non-profit organization founded in 1990 for the purpose of promoting high school, collegiate, and professional football in the Charlotte, North Carolina Region. At its inception, the Club held weekly luncheons generally attended by ten to fifteen representatives from local colleges and the media.

The Club's activities and services focus community attention on the outstanding Citizenship, Scholarship, Sportsmanship, and Leadership of area athletes and coaches. In recognition of superior achievement on the field, in the classroom and in the community, the Club awards six annual scholarships to athletes from Catawba College, Davidson College, Gardner-Webb University, Johnson C. Smith University, and Wingate University. The Club also provides financial support to more than thirty-five regional high school football programs annually. In addition, the Charlotte Touchdown Club is the proud presenter of the Roman Gabriel "Student Athlete of the Year" Award sponsored by Bojangles, the Charlotte Orthopedic Specialists "Comeback Player of the Year" Award and the Donnie Shell High School "Defensive Player of the Year Award. Through individual and corporate support, more than $500,000 has been raised since 1990 to finance the Club's scholarship fund.

Lifespan The Law Offices of Porter & Schwartz are proud to announce that the firm will be the presenting sponsor for LifeSpan 2006 Philanthropy Events & 2006 Bloom Art Event.

LifeSpan supports children and adults with developmental disabilities by providing education, employment, and enrichment opportunities that promote inclusion, choice, and family supports. Since opening the doors in 1973 to serve 5 young children, LifeSpan has responded to the needs of the community through the collection of community programs. Currently, more than 1,700 children and adults are supported throughout North Carolina in a variety of community and facility settings. LifeSpan is a private, non-profit organization. North Carolina Bar Foundation Law Offices of Porter & Schwartz is proud to be a Patron of the Bar Foundation. This foundation provides among other worthy causes, scholarships for the children of slain law enforcement officers, access to justice through pro se clinics, and law scholarships for students of need.
